MOMS for LIBERTY
Chester County PA CHAPTER
2023 Endorsed School Board Candidates
“No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.” -Samuel Adams

It is unfortunate but true that political campaigns often involve negative tactics and misinformation about opponents, and polarizing politics is the desired result. With the trajectory of public education under a spotlight, the spreading of overt misinformation and outright lies from our opponents has shifted into high gear. As stout supporters of the fundamental precepts of learning to support student outcomes, Moms for Liberty, and our endorsed candidates, are major targets in this year’s School Board elections on November 7th. (Read Article Here) In order to navigate information during the election season is to be sure to fact-check these statements.
A great way to fact check what we do stand for is to check out our M4L Chester County Chapter website here and our National website here! What you will find are facts: Who We Are and What We Stand For. What you won’t find are statements, stances, or narratives that are unsupported by facts.
Moms for Liberty is dedicated to unifying, engaging, and empowering parents who are concerned about lagging test scores in fundamental core subjects such as reading, writing, math, and science, and also about the inundation of questionable sexual content, overtly political rhetoric, and divisive political ideologies into the classroom. (Read Article Here) Our pro-education, pro-student stance is challenged by radical ideologues who swarm school board meetings but our values are here to stay, as evidenced by 1000s of local parent supporters across the country that have joined us almost overnight. Parents’ Rights Parents are Paramount. Parents are tasked with electing neighborhood representatives who will ultimately make decisions about the essentials of local district education, including decisions about: school policy, curriculum transparency, taxes, real estate deals, masking requirements, and schoolwide pandemic shutdowns.
Keeping Politics Out Of Schools is Imperative. In order to create a balanced and inclusive educational environment, political ideology must be kept out of schools. School Boards, administrations and teachers play a significant role in shaping the learning environment of our local schools. While all school staff should avoid promoting personal political views, school officials also have a responsibility to facilitate open discussions and critical thinking about political issues across a broad spectrum of beliefs..
Liberty Is Fundamental. Being free from oppressive restrictions, coercion, or control by external forces is fundamental to the educational welfare and mental health of our students. Mandatory pandemic shutdowns, forced masking, and federal grant grifts have proved that oppressive restrictions have no place in our local schools.

Age-Appropriate Resources versus “Book Banning.” (Read Article Here) Advocating for age-appropriate resources and parental responsibility to determine appropriate age levels for reading material is the common sense approach to the question of children’s reading material. Allowing individual school librarians complete and unbridled decision-making powers over what is appropriate for all children is exactly opposite of the principle behind why parents elect school board members. Our advocates for age-appropriate resources in public schools are concerned about protecting vulnerable audiences from explicit, sexual in nature content that may be emotionally or psychologically damaging to minors according to their parents, while being acceptable material to disseminate according to an individual school librarian who selects the books or a school board who approves them. Our advocates contend that there are alternative materials that convey similar educational content without gratuitous harmful or explicit material. Our advocates for age-appropriate materials do not advocate for banning books from public access outside of school or for private purchase. Our opposition attempts to paint us as “book banners” because we oppose the developmentally inappropriate sexualization of children. (Read Article Here) Unfortunately, Chester County School boards have actively rejected conservative authors and their books, yet sexually explicit materials sit on the school library shelves. Moms for Liberty members stand against school initiatives that teach children to accept destructive content and contort their thinking towards false realities that, data suggests, are significantly contributing to the mental health decline of our children in public schools.
Moms for Liberty is growing as a movement. Contrary to deliberate misrepresentations about Moms for Liberty, all 285 Chapters of Moms For Liberty in 45 states are fighting to SAVE public education. The failed agendas of our current School Boards and education leaders have resulted in this alarming statistic: only 3 in 10 Pennsylvania eighth graders are proficient in math. This is an 11-percentage point decline from 2019, according to National Assessment of Educational Progress data. Public School Leadership is failing our kids. (Watch Video Here)
Moms for Liberty CHESTER COUNTY and our School Board candidates stand for ALL of our students, our communities, and our country. We are moms, dads, and grandparents who support the principles upon which this country was founded, freedom and LIBERTY.
